Jesse

Jesse

Shot and left for dead in a ditch off of Knights Hill Road in Camden, SC, Jesse was found by a KCHS staff member who loaded her up and drove her to safety. We rushed sweet Jesse to Camden Veterinary Hospital where she was swiftly stabilized with fluids, pain medication, and antibiotics while the dedicated staff were able to treat her gunshot wound. The gunshot wound was determined to be in between her front leg and chest so she would need significant help learning to get around again. Jesse’s sweet, determined spirit, and zest for life were evident during her treatment. She was not ready to go. Even after being so mistreated by humans, she still wagged her tail and kissed the staff during her rescue. Jesse persevered through her treatment with an infectiously positive and loving attitude, and was ultimately pulled by one of our amazing rescue partners. In August of 2020, she found her new forever home and began an amazing life in New York City. Happy Tails!
