Corduroy
On a cold January morning, a small puppy was found shivering in a bucket off a dirt road in Camden, SC. Dumped and left to die, she was estimated to be between 6-8 weeks old, and barely given a chance at life. Once discovered, our staff stepped in and took the small golden puppy to Kershaw County Humane Society–giving her a warm bed, vaccinations, food to eat, and much needed attention. She was also given a name, Corduroy, because of her beautiful curly golden coat. Miraculously, Corduroy was rescued in time and suffered no serious health conditions from her abandonment. As soon as Kershaw County Humane Society posted about the puppy on social media, a potential adopter fell in love with her and rushed to KCHS to immediately put her name on a waiting list, knowing that she wanted a chance to bring Corduroy home. On January 28th, the sweet golden puppy found her forever home. Corduroy (now renamed Gracie) finally got the opportunity to start fresh with a whole new life. Today, Gracie spends her days enjoying long walks, chasing her ball, cuddling, surrounding herself with her favorite toys, and splurging on the occasional Starbucks Puppuccino. Happy Tails!
